My story is one of grace given and grace poured out.
What began with a pair of elephant pants and a heart for justice turned into a global mission.

Empowering Freedom & Dignity
It began with a simple idea: everyone deserves freedom and dignity.
Made for Freedom creates beautiful, purpose-driven products that provide dignified jobs for survivors of human trafficking.
Through the Made for Freedom Foundation, scholarships and essential support help survivors rebuild their lives and break the cycle of exploitation.

I’m Dawn Manske, founder of Made for Freedom, and a woman on a mission to fight human trafficking through dignified employment. My background in education, international travel, and a deep passion for justice led me to create a fashion brand that’s more than ethical, it’s transformative.
Along the way, Made for Freedom has grown into two powerful parts:

Made for Freedom
our storefront, creating beautiful products and dignified jobs for survivors.

Made for Freedom Foundation
providing scholarships and essential support to help survivors rebuild and thrive.
Everything begins and ends with love for God.
Faith isn’t just part of my life, it’s the very foundation.
It’s what gave me the courage to take leaps of faith, start Made for Freedom, open my home to children in need, and believe that every single life has value.
Through Scripture, prayer, and community, I’ve discovered that God’s love is unending and that we’re called to reflect that love in tangible ways.

Family & Foster Parenting
My journey as a foster mom began with a simple “yes.”
What I didn’t expect was how deeply this journey would stretch my heart, teaching me resilience, grace, and the beauty of unconditional love.
Every child deserves safety, stability, and love, even if only for a season. Through fostering, I’ve seen firsthand how small acts of care can bring healing and hope to young lives.
